I am a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. This means my therapy room or online meeting is a positive space, we don’t revisit the past, we might touch on it in the initial consultation. But only if it helps shed light on what’s brought you to therapy. After that we are very present and future orientated.
In the Initial Consultation
We will just talk about how our mind works, so we can work with it to get you to where you want to be.
We’ll discuss what you want to achieve from coming to sessions.
We will decide if it’s the best treatment for you. You can ask any questions you may have.
You will receive a download of an mp3 (FREE) which is designed to aid the work we will do together in subsequent sessions.
Subsequent Sessions
Sessions will be roughly half psychotherapy/talk therapy and half relaxation ‘trance’. We will discuss where you are on your happiness scale and work through how you can take action to move you further up the happiness scale. If you think this sounds like too much hard work, don’t worry this is a gradual, positive process and small steps are just fine.
The session is brought to a close with a lovely relaxing ‘trance’. You are fully in control throughout. This will help you to relax and access your subconscious in a way that hypnotherapy has been proven to. It helps us quieten the busy parts of our mind and light up problem solving areas of our minds, all whilst just listening to a lovely language pattern - how amazing is that?
Stop Smoking/Vaping
This is a one off session up to 2 hours. We will work with your desire to stop smoking by using hypnosis to help you achieve this very worth while, life changing goal.
How many sessions will I need?
For most people it’s a relatively small number of sessions, for some it may be as little as 4 sessions (some phobias/fears), with the average being 8 - 12 sessions, whilst for others it can be more.
